Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist
As a couple and family therapist, I am committed to helping you strengthen, reconnect, and rebuild important relationships in your life. While I commonly work with couples and individuals, I specialize in working with children and adolescents as well as their families. In my work with children and teens, I work to provide a safe space which allows for them to explore themselves and their decisions without fear of judgement or criticism. I work to help them build a sense of self-worth and esteem, manage anxiety and/or depressive symptoms, negotiate peer relationships, develop skills that will assist them in reaching future goals, and learn healthy decision-making skills. With the family unit, I strive to rebuild and strengthen communication; negotiate rules, expectations, and consequences; explore healthy boundaries and how they might change as the teen gets older; and help the family move through this developmental phase in a way that promotes a balance between dependence and the teen’s growing autonomy. We are located in downtown Bethesda. To find out how you can make positive changes in your life and relationships, call 240-600-0968 or email info@familytherapyllc.com today. familytherapyllc.com

I believe that a core component of living is about learning and growing and expanding as our journeys unfold. And, I am passionately sympathetic about how hard this process can be, and how difficult it often is to be human! Adding parenting into the mix can bring these challenges to the fore.
Using the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model of therapy – the fastest growing therapy modality today – my associates and I can help you identify and confidently respond to the challenges of your personal journey, and live the best version of yourself every day. Our style is non-judgmental, compassionate and warm — but also practical. Our therapists have expertise in mood disorders; interpersonal trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD); stressful life transitions and major life events; addiction recovery; and couples therapy.
I especially enjoy working with professional women as “The Thinking Woman’s Therapist,” and with other therapists and healing professionals. I have developed a particular expertise in helping women discern and navigate separation and divorce. My background and master’s degree in theology, in addition to my master’s in social work, is appealing to many clients who appreciate spirituality and are attracted to the integration of spirituality and psychology.

I use a warm, genuine, collaborative, and solution-focused approach to helping parents navigate the challenges of parenting. I always tell parents that I became a better psychologist when I became a parent. Through my extensive training and years of experience, I have gained expertise in how to navigate common parenting struggles (sleep, eating, behavior, homework, parent-child relationships), but you are the expert on your own kid. Together, we navigate what would best work for your child and family. In addition to working with parents, I provide cognitive-behavioral therapy to children, teens, and adults experiencing anxiety and/or medical conditions and I conduct brief assessments for independent school admissions. Attorney
As one of eight children who suddenly lost their mom, I realized that traditional estate plans, created by the typical estate attorney that had not experienced the tragedy that my family endured, did not ensure kids would be raised as their parents envisioned. Typical estate plans would not prevent kids from being taken by the authorities if their parents passed away or were incapacitated due to disease, illness or accident. After becoming the first attorney in my family, I founded Carducci & Braggs to serve families who do not want my story to become theirs.
