PEP Wins Multi-Year Contract to Provide its Award-Winning Parent Education Program to USAID Staff in Washington, D.C., and around the World.

KENSINGTON, MD (May 11, 2020) – PEP (the Parent Encouragement Program), a leading non-profit  educational organization based in Kensington, Maryland, has signed a multi-year contract to provide its  award-winning Parent Education Program to the employees of the U.S. Agency for International  Development (USAID) based in Washington, D.C., and around the world. PEP is working under the  leadership of KonTerra, a leading provider of staff care and organizational resilience services. KonTerra  has been providing services to the USAID global workforce since the inception of USAID’s Staff Care  Program in 2011. 

PEP’s mission is to build strong, harmonious family relationships through parenting education, skills  training and support. PEP helps adults foster the values of mutual respect, shared responsibility,  competence and cooperation in young people, preparing them to make positive contributions to their  families, their communities and the world at large.  

PEP’s work with USAID is expected to reach over 1,000 employees. The program will include  in-person training; online Master Classes; live USAID-exclusive Webinars; expert-led live video conference coaching; and full access to PEP’s Online Parenting Platform with its library of on-demand  videos and other resources.

PEP (The Parent Encouragement Program) provides parents and caregivers with parenting  education, skills training, and support to foster their children’s self-motivation, resiliency, and emotional  and social well-being. Founded in 1982, PEP’s vision is for children to grow up in a supportive family  environment where they can become capable, confident adults, prepared to make positive contributions  to their families, communities and the world at large. PEP’s online and in-person programs have helped  over 45,000 families through PEP’s work with corporations, government agencies, and classes directly  offered to individual parents. PEP is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
